Dancing on the Bridge a Success
Sponsors are the heroes who make Dancing on the Bridge a success! In 2010, a very special Pre-Game Tailgate Patron Party is being planned to honor those who donate $25 or more to this year’s event. The Patron Party will be held on Friday, September 10 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in Porter Street in front of the Historical Society.
Joanne Cinson, Patron Party Chairman, has arranged for patrons to be treated to pizza, wings, chips, hand dipped ice cream cones, soft drinks and water. All the refreshments have been donated. The pizza is being provided by Crossroads Pizza, Jukebox Pizza and West End Pizza. The wings are donated by American Legion Post 375 and prepared by Chef Joe Tokos. Joanne and Bob Cinson are providing the drinks, Schwann’s Ice Cream is sponsored by Malvern Tax Services and Dan Meenan, owner of Corell’s Potato Chips, is donating chips.
Sponsors who contribute $250 or more will also be given a VIP bus ride for two to the game in one of Brown Local School’s new buses, and they will receive two game tickets. This was arranged with the help of Connie Griffin, Superintendent of Schools. (This is not at tax payers’ expense. Drivers’ time and fuel costs are also being donated.) And, to make sure their Hornet Spirit is in full bloom, alumni cheerleaders headed by Robyn Clark will be on the buses to lead cheers and singing on the way to the game.

Slam Dunk Donor: $1,000 donation
Your donation will allow the Malvern Community Development Fund: to purchase 40 square yards of paving for the basketball court.
As a “thank you” you will receive: two invitations to the Patron Tailgate Party, A VIP bus ride for two to the game, two tickets to the game, your name on banner downtown during Dancing on the Bridge week, your name painted on the edge of the court, and your name on a permanent plaque in the park, recognizing your $1,000 gift.
Three Point Shot Donor: $500 donation
Your donation will allow the Malvern Community Development Fund: to purchase new backboards and hoops for the basketball court.
As a “thank you” you will receive: Two invitations to the Patron Tailgate Party, a VIP bus ride for two to the game, two tickets to the game, your name on banner downtown during Dancing on the Bridge week, your name on a permanent plaque in the park, recognizing your $500 gift.
Jump Shot Donor: $250 donation
Your donation will allow the Malvern Community Development Fund: to purchase ten square yards of paving for the basketball court or striping on the court.
As a “thank you” you will receive: two invitations to the Patron Tailgate Party, a VIP bus ride for two to the game, two tickets to the game, your name on a banner downtown during Dancing on the Bridge week, your name on a permanent plaque in the park, recognizing your $250 gift.
Shade in the Park Sponsor: $175 donation
Your donation will allow the Malvern Community Development Fund: to purchase an 8-10 foot tree for the park. Trees will be white or pink dogwoods, maples or oaks.
As a “thank you” you will receive: One invitation to the Patron Tailgate Party, a VIP bus ride for one to the game, one ticket to the game, your name on a banner downtown during Dancing on the Bridge week, and your name on a permanent plaque in the park, by the tree you planted.
Free Throw Sponsor: $125 donation
Your donation will allow the Malvern Community Development Fund: to purchase 5 square yards of paving for the basketball court, then tennis courts.
As a “thank you” you will receive: One invitation to the Patron Tailgate Party, a VIP bus ride for one to the game, one ticket to the game, your name on a banner downtown during Dancing on the Bridge week, your name on a permanent plaque in the park, recognizing your $125 gift.
Courtside Seat Patron: $100 donation
Your donation will allow the Malvern Community Development Fund: to purchase 4 square yards of paving for basketball, then tennis courts.
As a “thank you” you will receive: Two invitations to the Patron Tailgate Party, your name on a banner downtown during Dancing on the Bridge week, and your name on a permanent plaque in the park, recognizing your $100 gift.
Tailgate Patron: $25 donation
Your donation will enable the Malvern Community Development Fund: to purchase one square yard of paving for basketball courts, then tennis courts.
